Moving faster than we'd originally thought we made it into Panama early enough to get to the offshore paradise of Bocas del Toro. So it was back to island life and pace for a few days, hanging out, snorkeling and watching fishes, island hopping in lanchas and getting over post birthday hangovers (linz),

We stayed in a lovely little place called the Veranda which had a great hangout space which we only discovered after a day or so there, and where we met a couple of Panamanian movie makers who were busy making a tourist promotional film of Bocas town and all the surrounding islands. Simon's 30th  was a bit overcast but we took a boat tour of the islands and spent the day watching dolpins, drinking beer and snorkeling. Then we embarked on a serious beer/rum session with our Panamanian friends before going for a curry and birthday cake then dancing the night away to Calipso music (gets a bit vague here), Simon swinging from the rafters and Linz engaging in some pole dancing action. Hhmm we may have let the gracious foreigner bit slip here. Oh well what the hell? 

There were no red frogs :-(
