Here we are in san ignacio. baja, mexico. we're in a little camsite by a lakeside, soaking up the rays under a grove of date palms in the middle of the desert. This is the only oasis for miles. After flying down the west coast of america in 4 days (including a day in san francisco) it's nice to have a lie down
we've ended up having to ditch our original plan to see yosemite, las vegas, and the grand canyon as we were pining for sun and there were icing conditions that would have dampened (or at least chilled) our fun there. will have to do that next time. As it was we spent a lazy day in sandiego before crossing the border where we drank a few beers with some loacls we met at the campsite.
Betsy has been working out really well, and we've had a good time with her. We'r still sorting out the really useful gear from the more optional kit. so far i say for sure a little barbequeue, and a cast iron frying pan are definately worth packing!
We'll probably be heading down the east coast of baja sud towards la paz and the car ferry to topolabambo and mainland mexico.
