Our first night in orregon was in a spectaular guerrilla camping spot hidden in a cul-de-sac in the orregon forrest. we lay awake for a time listening to the crashing waves of the pacific. You could feel the change in weather as we drove into california; balmier and more relaxed.
We stopped to take some photos of jim by the giant redwoods in northern california but he was too small next to these big trees. will hold the photo for you jon. -the redwoods were massive, but we didn´t opt for the ´TREES OF MYSTERY´drive.
the next night we camped at a rest stop in a hauntingly religious town called weaverville (it had 8 large churches for 10,000 people) we sat in bets toasting our journey with a bottle of wine when we were diturbed by a lorry driver who had arrived and gotten his vehicle stuck behind us. once we had moved he parked up and was serviced by a local lady of the evening. (so not all were religious)
onwards through redding we learned from a local vanthusiast that ours was an árt car´ánd we were now delving into a mysterious subculture where people glued plastic toys and seashells to classic vehicles. there was no gioing back...
