We had pizza and salad, with beer delivered to the room for lunch then we went back to the pool. As we were laying there we saw parachutes coming down. It was the Skydivers landing on the Hilton Beach. John and I had already looked into it but at $850 for us both, we didn't do it.
Peter picked us up from the Hilton and we flew out of the Nadi airport at 2100. We were glad, for a second, to have been 1st class with access to the lounge since the airport is not completely air conditioned. Turns out the lounge is under construction so they had setup a room of wicker furniture and a small bar for everyone. It was cluttered and loud, uncomfortable and lacking refreshments. We left there to get food upstairs; grilled cheese for me and John and chicken sandwich (and the only Snickers on the whole trip).
We got to board the plane first and get right in our seats with champagne and OJ. A surf team was sitting around us and on the plane we saw their laptop slide show - SWEET! Mostly everyone else slept (like us) and only woke for meals. For airplane food - first class food is worth waking up for. It was surprisingly good. Everyone got a toiletry bag with essentials which included Pure Fiji lotions. Love them!
We landing in LA 20 minutes late and John and I already had a tight connection so we were never going to make the flight to Orlando. Once out of the gates I called AirTran and they put us on a flight the next morning, then I called Hilton and the put us at the airport. Not difficult, just another day in a hotel.
