Most important today – Happy 67th anniversary to Jim's parents Betty and Jack.

We had decided to spend an extra day in Edmonton. This allowed us a down day, plus some extra sites that were on our list.  We will spend the next four days on the road as we travel to Dawson Creek, BC (milepost 0 of the Alaskan Highway) and on to Whitehorse, Yukon Territory.  From Whitehorse we will drive the Klondike Loop to Dawson City, YT, then into Alaska via the Top of the World Highway (if you call 100 miles of gravel road a highway) to Boundary and Chicken, AK.  Yes, Chicken, AK.  They named it that since they could not spell Ptarmigan.

So, this morning we filled the fuel tank and dumped the waste tanks on the coach.  We then visited the Alberta Legislature Building.  We had a fantastic tour guide who showed us the interesting features of the provincial capitol building Alberta Legislature Building

.  Later we went to the Muttart Conservatory.  Around a central lobby, they have four pyramids.  Three of the pyramids are climate controlled for arid, tropical, and temperate biomes.  The fourth pyramid is for special displays and features.  In other words, it is kind of like the Climatron at the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis, only in four different small sections.

On the way back to the coach, the car got a much needed wash.  We also stopped at a Super Wal-Mart to stock up on groceries and supplies.

Tomorrow we leave for the really adventurous part of the trip.
