We drove the Red Rock Parkway, a scenic drive to a beautiful canyon and some interesting hikes. The weather was still nasty, with the temperature dropping to 38 and windy. We put on our rain-suits and hiked anyway. There were two hikes, one through the Red Rock Canyon, and one to Blakiston Falls. The hikes were both worth doing, but we would have enjoyed them more in better weather. We were cold and damp so we headed for a hot lunch in the motorhome.
The afternoon weather was no better. But Jane had a conference call for Scouts mid afternoon. We went to the Prince of Wales Hotel, and she called in from a pay phone with an 800 phone number. Jim relaxed and read a book in the beautiful lobby
For a change, we went out to a nice restaurant for dinner. We had delicious bison short-ribs with roasted local vegetables and a nice bottle of wine. It was a great end to the day.
