I got to Arica in early in the morning after a pretty bad bus trip because of a loud snoring man and I went straight to my hostel. I stayed at the Arica surf hostel, it had a really cool beach shack theme to it.

After a quick kip I went and checked out the towns main street, the close beaches and then went to the top of the mountain El Morro de Arica. On it was a lot of old war cannons and guns still set up from years ago. There was also a big statue of Jesus. It had great views over the city.

The next day I went for a surf at playa arenas negras beach. It was great, I got some good sized waves and it wasn't to crowded. I didn't get a chance to get to the famous El Gringo beach.
I left the next day and got an overnight bus into Peru to Lima.
