I left there and found my way on down to the famous Exit 0 and Cape May where the streets are lined with Victorian gingerbread houses. This stop was to see another coaching friend who had made her dream come true of living on the coast
In addition to seeing the ferry and lighthouse and sunsets, we spent an afternoon on a boat watching dolphins and hoping to spot a whale. There was a little boy on the boat who I took to and shared my binoculars with... what a little charmer he was. Looking at the other passengers, there were several of the men turned green with their heads down in their hands. They were mighty glad to see land again. The dolphins entertained us with leaps and dives and I wished for a continuous shot camera as I kept missing them in the air.
For training walks, I found my way over to Wildwood to America's Boardwalk. There was a drumline competition and I would have loved tickets to a single event and could not score them. I was content driving around town as each of the bands used the parking lot of their hotels to practice. There were some very talented young people there. My sister loves bands and I wished she was with me to see them.
