Day 52 June 20 - Our second day of classes.  When did I go back to school?  Well, we are learning lots of new information...some of it we knew and practice; other hints were ones that we will put in place.
Today was the first day of our course (3 hours each day) on RV Safe Driving...that's a lot of info.

The entertainment tonight was The Buckingham's (Susan; Kind of a Drag and others).  They were great, lots of energy and they sang lots of the '66 and '67 songs.  Memory Lane!!

Day 53 June 21.  Today was the second course for the Safety Class.  But, while we were in there for all that time, we missed a major rain, hail and thunderstorm that must have dumped a good inch or more in a short period of time.  It looks like a mud field in front of our coach.  We even saw one RV being towed out by a tractor.  We leave tomorrow so hopefully no more storms tonight.  It looks like the Devils Tower area is getting murdered with heavy rain and hail and Mt. Rushmore as well.  One couple (they are going to Alaska with us) were telling us that they went through a huge hail storm while at Mt. Rushmore and they have all kids of damage to their car.  Some reported golf ball sized hail.  Ugh. Looks like South Dakota is really taking a beating this week.  We really lucked out because we had sun every day.

One the the seminars we were in the gentleman was talking about full-timing and how it can take a toll on your relationship and what he found is that you need to say "I love you" and I'm sorry" when needed to keep things civil.  He said his wife is very good about it and every morning she wakes up and says, "I'm sorry I love you" - everyone cracked up!!

Tonight is a dance called "Black Tie and Blue Jeans" - we'll be in the blue jeans!!

I had said that there were 1,000 RVs here - I was wrong there are 2,500!  This place is huge so there are about 8 different spots to be around the convention areas and they have trollies for us old folks. Twelve different seminars are going on at one time and there are probably about 60 going on throughout the day.  In addition to that there are vendors here as well as new coaches to look at and either drool over, leave immediately less you get sucked in, or just don't go there!  We chose the "just don't go there" option!!

Off tomorrow to Sheridan, WY and after that we head into Montana - can't wait!!!!!

What an amazing experience. You're getting major 'RV Overload'. I have to say I'm a little concerned about the safe driving course occurring AFTER 2500 RV'ers drove to the rally!!! hahaha

The Buckinghams are from Chicago -- truly a piece of my childhood!
