We had one day in Nha Trang, it was beautiful.  It's a beach city, definitely bigger than Hoi An, but with even clearer water, and a bit cooler, which was nice, because the sun was blazing hot.  I never even realized Vietnam had places like this, palm trees all along the beach, water as clear as the carribbean, and little islands offshore for the country's best scuba diving.  I know I'm jaded from American War Movies, but I just never realized Vietnam offered this sort of "vacation".

Well, our day started off by us updating THIS blog, I spent a good hour or so on it, and then nothing was saved, the computer bunked out - a pure waste off internet fee, and time.  Following, we went to have breakfast, and later found out (about 2 hours later) that I had left my wallet in the restaurant.  We never found it.  Some Thai Baht, Lao Kip, and our remaining Vietnam Dong was all gone, as well as my credit cards and b of a check cards.. Lauren was busy all day

We spent the day mostly re-tracing our steps, but tried to enjoy the clear water and empty beach as much as possible.  On our way to dinner, Lauren stepped on a piece of glass, it went clear threw her sandal, a minor cut, but a damper on the night nonetheless.  Our internet cafe that held all our pictures also LOST our pictures that we took from our friends' camera, luckily they hadn't deleted anything yet.

I ended up the day with a huge trimdown.  A full shave and quite a big haircut, for 3.25.  I look like a local Vietnamese now, sweet...

I guess when it rains it pours, but you can't let a few bucks in your wallet, and some spilled blood to ruin your trip right?  So, the next day we were off for Saigon, and eventually to Cambodia.  Hopefully there, we'll have some better karma...
