It's Friday morning. There will be no wedding after all. We decide to pack up and head north to higher (and drier) ground. My uncle graciously takes us in. We eat, sleep, and watch news until we can't see straight. The power goes out during the day ...

... . There were a few pastures with cows, almost no horses, a few sheep and goats. About 7 pm. I finally reached Opelousas, and found a restaurant where I could experience crawfish (crawdads) etouffe; it's stewed small crayfish tails in a thick spicy sauce ...

Delivered at the DC in Opelousas on Saturday evening, and spent the night at the truck stop at exit 23.  Before we shut down for the night we had our next dispatch, to pick up on Monday in Monticello, AR.
