With all 42 Presidents sculpted busts standing ten-time life size in a lavish Black Hills Garden on a nature trail complete with Presidents history and biographical information. Artist David Adickes sculpted the huge busts of all 42 presidents of the United States over the last five years and transported them to Deer Mountain near Lead and Deadwood, South Dakota between Mount Rushmore and Devils Tower Wyoming. The Presidents Park sculpture garden is 20 acres of beautiful, mountain meadows with towering Ponderosa pines and wild flowers. A gentle trail meanders through the trees and is bordered by the monumental busts. Beside each bust is a panel with biographical and other relevant information pertaining to that President. A large, chalet-styled visitors center contains a gift shop, Cafe D'Artiste, with a light gourmet menu, and a Starbucks Coffee House. Also available in the center are books, history & articles of relevance to the presidents. Other art objects are also on display. And an educational center is planned in the near future. Our full service VISITORS CENTER opens June 1, 2002 with local Music, Art Exhibits and Starbucks Specials.
