August 13 - We lounged by the creek reading until about noon, then took a drive to Joseph, OR on the Hells Canyon Scenic Drive. Joseph is noted for all their bronze statues and foundries. On the way back to the campsite we stopped at Hells ...
... were some tense moments as he studied the map (finally) and chuckled to himself. Once back on the way to being back on course he showed me the sign and said we were halfway there. Not really since we had only been driving for about two hours!
