... wir ins benachbarte Alpine Meadows gereist. Hier hatten wir ersten Baerenkontakt in der Umgebung des Ferienhauses. Heute gings hinunter nach Grass Valley. Daselbst besuchten wir die Empire Mine (riesiges Gold-Bergwerk mit tiefen Schaechten bis 2500m).
