Today we toured the Chickamauga National Military Park--site of the September 19 & 20, 1863 Civil War Battle. The area is beautiful!  There are roughly 600 monuments scattered throughout the entire park.  Much fewer tourists than Gettysburg.& ...

... views.  Uphill hiking in and we encountered a few downed trees.  Easy coming out.  The hike took some time so when we got back on 136 North and headed on to Chickamauga we didn't stay too long.  We will definitely will go back.
