I did plan my return to Aberdeen to be late in the day so I could do a little sightseeing. Spent the morning out it Carew to look at the cross, castle, and tidal mill.
A pretty well preserved castle. One of the main towers was closed for some work, so I didn't get to climb everything. And the other tower is reserved for bats. Did have an interesting little chapel. Good views of the castle across the water.
This mill is based on the tidal flow. Water comes in at high tide and they close the gate. Then at low tide, they open it up back out through the mill.
On the way to Lamphey, I wanted to see what all the rain did to the water by Carew Castle. The road/bridge was almost flooded.
