If you want a glimpse of Burma, you can take a bus to Mae Sai via Chiang Rai, Cross into Tachileik, and head by road to Kengtung, where the treks seem good and quite remote fom tourists. Sounds good, but it's not for me. I had looked ...

new visa rules

....just went to mae sai today.... .... i have a used 2 month tourist visa.... had already done one border run .... they gave me 15 days today... not 30 ..... and they said it is unlimited... .... in other words... before you could get 30 days.... maybe 3 ...
