... . It took over 12 hours to get from Luang Nam Tha to Luang Prabang (including a 2 hour Saengthaew ride in the rain). The slow boat also takes 2 days to get to Luang Prabang! Still well worth it. Scott will know the state of the roads better than me.

... wifi is spreading but in smaller cities and towns? No dice. In Laos you'll only find wifi in Vientiane and Luang Prabang, not anywhere else. Burma, forget it really. You'd likely have to get connected there as obviously your husband needs access ...
