Here's a few of the top palaces and castles in the Middle East Aegean Region, Turkey Quseir Amra, Jordan Krak des Chevaliers, Syria Topkapi Palace of the Ottoman Sultans, Istanbul, Turkey My favorite is the last one.

... ? 3) Any thoughts on the Crusader castles in Jordan (seem to ring Amman)? Have limited time so thinking of waiting until Krak de Chaveliers (?sp) in Syria for that aspect of history. Am I missing something great if so? Thoughts greatly appreciated. TT
