We managed to make it back to Subic for New Years Eve. Blue Rock put on an impressive firework show, the highlight being when the floating bar caught on fire. Mike's last days here were spent getting his advanced open water scuba diving ...
Here I am back in the Philippines, in Subic Bay. This is a picture of me by the Spanish Gate, built approximately in 1885 by the Spanish to control entry to the port of Subic Bay in the Philippines.

Beaches in Nasugbu, Batangas are pretty decent by Philippines standard. The best ones are pretty out of reach for your short stint. But you can visit them on your extended trip here. Getting to Nasugbu is easy. You can either take a bus or public AUVs ...
