... Rio de Janeiro and then heading down into Argentina and Chile.  Our original plan included a few days in Paraguay but we are going to head straight to Rio and maybe head back into Paraguay later on, so this visit only included the airport at Asuncion!

... it at all, but it truly made my visit. So go check out Paraguay, now! I could have easily spent more time in Paraguay and Asuncion, but I have to make my way south before the winter sets in for real in Patagonia. I plan to catch a flight to Ushuaia ...

... long slog, but I'm under the impression that the best way is still through Argentina; La Paz, Potosi, Villazon/La Quiaca, Jujuy, Metan then cross the Argentine Chaco to Resistencia and up to Asuncion. Shouldn't take more than a couple of days.

Anyone travelled to / from Paragay and Bolivia by bus? Is it really as awful as my paraguayan pals keep telling me? I was thinking about Asu- Cochabamba, then Santa Cruz- Sucre and then fly to La Paz and fly back to Asuncion..comments welcome. Alan
