... change as we have entered the arctic circle to first port of call Leknes. This is a scene of wild landscape with jagged mountains and more craggy scenery. Tour around the islands is worth a visit. Town has very little to offer for tourist visit.
This was a real highlight of the trip. Never have I breathed such clear crisp air. Never have I seen such a blue sky. We were lucky to be in the Lofoten Isles in the Arctic circle with a temperature of over 70 degrees!
