Started in Picton (where the ferry docks) and drove in a hired car down the west coast. Stopped at Nelson, then a scenic drive through the Buller gorge, to Westport, where I had a brief meeting with Pru and Brian. Visited the Franz Joseph glacier, ...
We hired a campervan for about a month, picked up in Christchurch after a flight over the wee sea from Melbourne. The spent a fabulous month dawdling all around the South, and rather less fabulously in the North Island.
We went on the Kiwi bus and it was fun.
