... but it had even better views with snowy Mt Cook and surrounding peaks in the background. We found a great spot for 'freedom camping' and our first night in the camper was overlooking Lake Pukaki and Mt. Cook, with a sunset that wasn't too shabby.

... Once the rafting was finished we headed back to the lodge to have lunch and got back on the road to go to see Tikapu lake and eventually onto our campsite Pukaki. We cycled 15 kms to Tikapu and swam at the Pukaki lake, which was very very very cold.

What not to miss in New Zealand

... to see and do and while it's unfortunate to miss things, I still reckon it's important not to rush too much and miss the 'experience'. If you really embrace what New Zealand has to offer, the quality of your trip will far outweigh the quantity. Cheers
