This was just a leisurely car journey along the hasst pass through the southern alps stoping off at various places and admiring the views to break our journey on our way to the Fox glacier and Hokitika.We sat on the beach that evening to watch the sunset.

Next stop a very small place called Hasst, hardly warants a name really. We stayed in Hasst lodge which was nothing special. On the way to Hasst we walked around lake Matheson and stopped in at Fox Glacier.
