just a stop over here, could have gone to the glacier but after seeing the moreno glacier it would have been a waste of time. headed for wanaka.

Drove from the pancake rocks formation to Frans Joseph glacier.  Nice hike up the riverbed to the glacier.  Didnt hike onto the ice, but got close enough to get chilly. Click to see images in slideshow (better)
