Xpujil Town, Mexico

The large, restored structure at Xpujil's (shpoo-hill) is unusual with 3 towers versus the usual 2, and the main attraction of a very large site.

Quite a rough drive more than 20km into the jungle to finally come upon the huge Hormiguero (anthill).

Just west of Xpujil, Becan ("path of the snake") is surrounded by a 2km moat and one of the most elaborate sites in this area with a huge pyramid to climb.
