... of ATMs and I had just enough cash to get to town. I was tempted to head back, but I knew that if I did I would never leave. I'm still not sure if not leaving would've been a good thing or a bad thing, but the rest of Malaysia was calling and so I went.

Hi Ikram - I don't actually know that much about mainland Malaysia - so I hope someone else may help. I have heard the Perhentians are beautiful though.

... a message or something if you do, but I fly off on the 20th August (like I said, short notice). I've been to the Perhentians before and it was absolutely amazing and I'm pretty bummed that I might not be able to go to someplace like that this time ...

... a lot of it. As always it depends what you're looking for. If you want something more authentic I'd say get up to the Perhentians just north of Kapas. But I certainly wouldn't worry about any kind of 'limit' on your stay. Enjoy..
