... there wasn't a line in sight, pretty much just a big free for all, anyway after that we drove another eleven hours to Vientiane, which is the Country's capitol. It isn't a very big city, it reminds me a lot more of Concord New Hampshire than Washington DC ...

Vientiane is the capital city of the Peoples Democratic Republic of Laos, commonly known as Laos. The correct name is Lao but the French colonisers of the country many years ago made a mistake in the name and spelled it Loas.
