... clear, and fairly warm.  The beaches are packed today, so we settled for dipping feet around the rocky harbor of Portovenere.  Well it's getting closer to reality as we head back to Milano tomorrow before flying home to Seattle on Thursday.  ...

Tuscan Riviera Portovenere Had seen it on Getaway and looked very pretty.. Found a hotel with sea views and have spent 2 nights here resting , climbing around local castles… eating sleeping and watching the boats go in and out… not much ...

... and Venice already so thought a week in the CT area would be nice but not sure weather to stay in Monterosso or perhaps Portovenere and travel to different downs each day. Could we then drive from CT to Tuscany and where to stay, Siena, Piemont, Livorno ...

... like the independance they give. Thought 1 week in CT perhaps Monterossa or wondering if it would be best to stay in Portovenere???? 1 week in Tuscany maybe San Gimignano??? 1 week on Sardinia at Alghero then 1 week on Amalfi coast perhaps Praia or maybe ...

... . Starting to think it may be better to stay just out of the touristy towns and visit when we want instead of staying right in the middle of it, is this wise. Any suggestions on Portovenere in the CT area and also Verona which I think is in Tuscany?????
