Cuglieri, Italy

Spent morning writing. Swimming in afternoon. Too hot to stay very long. Angela, Barbara, Gabriella, and Giovanni came for Leo's special spaghetti recipe dinner. Delish. Celebration.

Warm and still. Not much today. Hung out at home. Leo up very late. I had coffee with Giuliana. Took boat to a place that sounds like Sarguitu, but the waves were too choppy for anchoring. Had wonderful ride against the chop coming home. So much fun ...

Leonardo tried to teach me Italian today, using Topolino (Mickey Mouse) as text. I fear that I'm going to develop a very strange vocabulary. Paul and Leo drove to Cuglieri to run errands. After, we all went briefly to the beach.

Hot. Drove to Cuglieri in early afternoon. Short drive. They have a huge house, where one room opens onto another. Very cool inside -- those thick walls and no windows! The house dates back to the 15th C. Made our lunch there. Took Leo's boat with ...
