My girlfriend and I are thinking of going to either Bintan or Batam Indonesia tomorrow for my birthday... we like seedy stuff... third world like places to explore and, since we only have the day and I have been in Singapore for awhile and not been to ...

Bintan Vs Batam

Well, the only personal experience I have is the taxi ride I took across Batam from the ferry station to the airport... Looked seedy but not really explorable. If Lonely Planet is to be believed, Bintan is *much better*
