We travelled a bit further up the coast where we went inland to the keralan backwaters - a network of canals where people live and from what I can see - grow rice! we took a boat for an hour to the house where we would be staying, a bit more like a guest ...

We were sad to leave Varkela but got up really early to take the train to Kollam. At the train station there was this guy all pimped out in pink jeans, pink plaid shirt and huge aviator sunglasses who thought he was the shit! we couldn't stop ...
