A jeep ride from Varanasi to Mughal Sarai Junction for 45 minutes. And then an express train to Gaya city for 3 hours but the train was 1.5 hours late. From there another change onto a auro-rickshaw to Bodhgaya which was about 45 minutes.

What should have been a 4 hour overnight train ended up being a 7.5 hour overnight wait at the Varanasi train station and a morning departure for another 4 hours to Gaya, Bihar. From Gaya a short tempo ride to Bodhgaya.
