When we crossed the border on foot, after immigration we were instructed to walk 150 meters to the "bus terminal".  We arrived to find a few food stands, and a single bus parked on the side of the road.  Apparently that constitutes a terminal!& ...

Hello JH, The latest information I have indicates that there is no direct bus from SPS to Corinto, but things change quickly in Central America. You will have to check this when you are in SPS. You have to go through Puerto Cortes anyway. From La Ceiba ...

Hi Mmbcross, Many thanks for the info. Just a few quick questions: 1) Are there no buses from SPS to Corinto or must you go via Puerto Cortes 2) Provided there are no drama´s/problems is it possible to get from la ceiba to puerto barrios in 1 day. ...

... thought is to charter, or take the public bus, from San Pedro Sula to Puerto Barrios, Guatemala. Much easier now that the new road is open via Corinto. Then charter a boat in Puerto Barrios for the relatively short crossing to Punta Gorda. Cheers
