Queen Charlotte City, Canada

A weekend getaway with our son and his wife to our former home.  Weather is great and the seafood is better. We make it up island to the potter and to balancing rock.  The Kwuna is still here but business is slow.

... 6.5 hours, but thanks to a bit of a BC Ferries fiasco, offloading took 1.5 hours!  We checked into the Sea Raven Motel in Queen Charlotte City and went for a bit of a walk by the water.  We saw a number of Bald Eagles - not tired of them yet!

We went for a drive along a logging road and a short hike through old growth forest to Yakoun Lake.  We were a little anxious about encountering bear, but we didn't see any.  We did see old growth forest, the Lake and lots of mosquitos. ...
