If we're on San Pedro Island can we do Tikal?

Day trips to Tikal are usually offered from San Ignacio in the Belize highlands close to the Guatemalan border. To my knowledge there are no tours from Ambergris or Caye Caulker. If I were you I'd bone up on these travel blogs from :

I totally agree with mmbcross. Caye Caulker is a top spot to do some snorkelling, and swim with manta rays and nurse sharks. San Ignacio is also great, and if you go there you'll have the opportunity to do one of the most unique archaelogical trips ...

Why don't you look at a two centre stay. for the beach and diving, and for the forest and Maya archaeological sites.
