On the road again, towards Alice Springs, we stopped for elevenses, to find there was an icy wind from the south.  This gave us the opportunity to put the kids into the winter coats that we had purchased in anticipation of freezing desert nights ...

Spent a nice quiet night at Salt Creek rest area along with a couple of others. Well maintained spot , even had firewood supplied at the fireplaces! It is about 31k north of Erldunda, which is where the turn off to Uluru is.
