Another quick trip through the gardens on my way to see the Kangaroos on the island. I do like the birds of paradise.

I went a searching for the local, wild group of kangaroos on the island in the river. But in all my searching, I couldn't find them on this date. (See the entry on the 16th for proof that they do exist).

Since I couldn't find the 'roos, I focused my attention on the river. It was mainly pelicans and kingfisher birds, but I also did get to see some dolphins. It is a long way up river from the ocean, but it is not an uncommon sight.
