... taking Larapinta Drive around the Western MacDonnell Ranges nr Alice Springs. I particularly liked the drive from Sydney down the coast to Jervis Bay/Batemans Bay and then inland through the mountains to Canberra. Ahhhhhhh man, I miss Australia!

... , Day 2 Stop in Byron Bay, Day 3 Brisbane. This would leave 3 - 4 hours travel each day and the rest of the day to check things out. #2 Sydney to Melbourne: Day 1 Stop in Ulladulla/Batemans bay, Day 2 stop in Eden, Day 3 in Melbourne. Anyway just an idea
