11 days into my arrival in Kabul and I celebrate my birthday with a 7kg cake lemon cake!! My colleagues and I went for a picnic to Lake Qargha in the afternoon. The day ended with dinner with friends at a pub called the Gandomack.

Just listened to Kabul Beauty School. Incredible view of the culture of Kabul, Afghanistan. Puts current events in perspective. I really enjoyed this book....makes me really want to go there.....
