Hida Takayama Temple Inn Zenkoji

A Takayama on loge dans un temple, plutot sympa ! La ville est assez touristique et on comprend pourquoi : elle regorge de temples, vieilles batisses, distilleries de sake. Il y a beaucoup d'artisanat local : bois laque, sculptures, herbes sechees... Les sobas (nouille) au sarasin sont la specialite du coin et on approuve ;-) Toujours impossible d'aller a Kamikochi, meme de ce cote. On declare donc forfait et on part vers le sud...

Takayama has preserved the feeling of a castle town, apparent by its history-filled streets. well to get to takayama took longer then we thought and eventually we came here only at about 8pm we were really afraid we might have to sleep on the street but then we talked to monk that is responsible of the temple we are staying at and he said we could come and that it was no problem so we got out of the station got ourselves directions and looking around we realized the street was dark and barely anything was opened! we got to the temple and got our room i must say it was so cold! i knew...

First place after the countrys capital is Takayama in the ancient, mountainous Hida district. Near the Japanese Alps it has old inns, saki breweries and is chock full of museums. So karma really is a *****. I arrived in Takayama to great weather--sunny, warm. The town or rather small city is a bit bland around the station but it's got some nice mountains and a renown old district. Since I got in around noon, thought I'd take it easy and see the folk village (Hida no Sato), which is basically a historical park of old farmhouses from centuries ago. De Hiroshima, vuelta al oeste, hacia Takayama, parando en Himeji, par aver el famoso castillo, que no defraudo. Como todo aqui en Japon, muy bonito y con unos espacios y ubicacion increibles. Y llegamos a Hida, en un tren local y ya cuando llegamos nos dimos cuenta de que se trataba de una zona muy tranquila y rural (el no ver gente por las calles al anochecer nos sorprendio despues de la masificacion de las ciudades).
