Tokyo, Japan

Hey What's Up!?
Well anyway today I headed down town of tokyo to meet up with Neneko for the last time. :( Cause tomorrow I will be heading out back home well early today cause my flight leave pretty soon. But anyway Today was a good day I finally had a chance to sing karaoke with my friends it was alot more seclusive then I had expected because here in Tokyo you pay around 1500 yen for a room and just sing your heart out the whole time you are in there and not only that but it also gives you a rating on how good you did. So Neneko went first and sang Rose by the Black Stones and she did and amazing job she got a 92 on the grading scale I was really impressed some of her friends also went and some were good others... well let's just say that they tried their bests at their songs they chose. So it was near the end of the night and I still had not gone because I was way to shy to go I didn't want to make a fool of myself I usually sing alone in my room and stuff. But I had to sing I couldn't just stand around wondering how it would have been to sing karaoke. So I did it I sang Colors of the Heart by UVERworld and I did pretty wellI got an 89 out of a 100 which is amazing and I thought i sucked at singing. So we kept on singing me Neneko kept on getting pretty good scores but it was not at all about the scores or anything it was really about how we did and had fun doing it! I wish the night could have lasted longer but the thing was I knew it couldn't cause I had to leave and get to the plane by near 2 am. I had my bags all packed and everythin. But before all that I headed down to Tokyo University one of the most prestidgous schools in the whole world. It was beautiful they had a gorgeous pond and the campus was huge it blew me away and I was shocked at how long it has been there from 1877 and yet it still looks as if it was just built!
But anyway I will probably be writing my last entry from the plane cause I need to hurry my little self onto my Hostel and check out so i can be ready for the flight.
Well see ya soon Sugoi Kids!
-Sugoi Kid "Ricky" is off!
Don't worry there were no drugs allowed in or at all at the rave it was a rave for all ages and free to celebrate the start of the weekend and the amazingness of it all! the rave was awesome and wild we had a blast we danced all night and possibly throughout the day it was great we just danced and snag along with songs we knew and the bubbles were everywhere and we had so much fun. The day seemed to have ended quickly though and This time I was dressed as Inuyasha from Inuyasha >_> and Neneko dressed as Usagi from sailor moon! Tokyo, Japan

Hey kids what's up?
Well today I went to the safe haven for all Otaku and all people of the anime lovers! It was the best day of my true life! Seriously but first me and Neneko finally met and both agreed to head over to Akihabara which neighbors Tokyo. It was blast cause me and Neneko both cosplayed our favourite characters in The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi! I was Itsuki and she was Haruhi which is normal to cosplay in Akihabara which is why I loved that town so much! But anyway me and Neneko went on a Tokyo bus that headed down to Akihabara. Once we got off we saw people doing the Hare Hare Yukai! our hearts sank as we rushed over to do it with them we all automatically clicked cause we had a Kyon, a Yuki, and a Mikuru we all did it in this haven of a place while people watched and clapped as we did it! It was awesome I felt so great when I finsihed it and Me and Neneko were invited to go see a concert with the whole SOS Brigade we agreed and decided to meet up later on at a Cosplay Cafe where we would walk from there to the concert. So anyway me and Neneko went around looking at shops and bought a ton of stuff I bought a few translated manga that i found luckily around 8 or 9 hey I know it is wrong to love something so much but that is just the way I am, wrong and sick I know but I don't care! then we went to see a little shop and got a little something something as well. I got a key chain of Inuyasha's Tetsaiga and a chibi Hatsune Miku chain as well. With a pair of Chibi Dolls Mikuru and Chibi Kirara Dolls. Jeez I am such a fanboy it is not even funny. But then we headed to just some random location to rest since we were pretty pooped from shopping all day. We got to see a bunch of girls and guys in cosplay it was amazing some people wanted to be in pictures with us and we wanted to take pictures of them! It was the best. Cause some cosplayers went all out and others kept it simple. But anyway back to what I was getting at we had met up with our pals at the Cosplay Cafe and headed down the road to a place advertising the concert of the Century the voices of Mikuru, Haruhi and Yuki were going to perform live here! I ended up spending 15,000 yen that day on everything put together! So we all pushed forward oh and I forgot I left all my stuff in a locker at the concert place! But we all got glow sticks and glow necklaces and so we all pushed to the front and got so close I bet I could have felt Yuko Goto's (Voice Actress for Mikuru) sweat! I could have smelt the sweet aroma of Minori Chihara (Voice actress for Yuki) and awe at the beauty of Aya Hirano (Voice actress for Haruhi) That Night I will never forget cause they did the full version of the Hare Hare Yukai and man they performed a ton of other songs it was so great cause the whole place broke out in dance! You can just guess the whole blurb thing can't you? But I now have a total of 212,837.77 yen boy isn't life grand?

see Ya Later Kids!
-Sugoi Kid "Ricky" out to party (sleep really!)
Tokyo, Japan

Hey Kids!
Today was great but it really didn't start for me until a bit later in the day which was perfectly fine with me! But in the mourning I headed over to Atago Shrine which was erected in 1603 during the eighth year if the Keicho era and it is said that as you walk up the steps to the shrine it is said to represent the succes in life. yet the shrine was rebuilt due to the dangerous reasons but was rebuilt and still looks beatiful. The great thing about the shrine is that you are able to a good view of all of Tokyo not all of course but it is a still beautiful view. The ground was really moist because of the Rain last night but even though it rained the shrine seemed to look as if it was standing tall and proud. Yet the shrine was built to protect people of fires and watch for fires as well that is why the God of fire himself was worshiped in this shrine, also the gods of water, mountains and military were worshiped in this shrine. The people at the shrine were very kind and curtious. It was just a great place to relax. Yet when I took the train down to the center of Tokyo when I saw Tokyo Tower catch my eye! It was gorgeous and glorious standing tall there I knew I had to go see it for myself! So I walked myself down to the Tower and boy wasn't it big it also looked clearly similar to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. The Tower was built in 1958 and was not only used as an observation tower but also as the broadcasting tower for mostly all of Tokyo! I had to pay an entrance fee of course of 1000 yen which was fine with me. Note that I am the type of person who carries all his money around I am just surprised no one has robbed me yet. But anyway back to the tower I had went upto the second floor which was pretty high and I am the type of person who is not a fan of heights so it was a little weird for me being up so high. But I really wanted to see the observation tower so I headed up to the heighest point you could reach which was 250 m which is about 820 feet in the sky. But it was amazing up their once I saw all of the skyscraoers and towers and everyone look like ants at the bottom of the tower it was funny and I saw everything i was just so amazed at the view! So as I headed back down to the first floor to the small cafe there and had a bite to eat at night the tower shines brightly and so does all of Tokyo which amazes me. The food was about 600 yen but it was good some tea with melon bread and a side of sushi more specificaly Squid sprisingly delicious!
So that was my day it was great and I had tons of fun at the shrine and at Tokyo Tower. Not only did i head home but i saw these really cool headphones I had to get them they were only like 5000 yen! I am wearing them now heheheh.
Blurb
Money Now: 227,837.77 yen
Song: Naraku no Hana by Eiko Shimamiya
Wearing: Just some shorts and a tank top with some flip flops.
Random Character: Konata Izumi from Lucky Star hilariously random show!
Anime: Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (not for the weak hearted or easily scared)
Weather: It was pretty warm and nice out, sun sun sun!

Well that is all there is for today kiddies! see you again soon!
-Sugoi Kid "Ricky" Out!
Tokyo, Japan

Well hello there back for more I am guessing?
It is pretty late here but I am just blogging to keep everyone up to date on what happened today which was a blast! Well first off once I got off the plane it was sunny and illuminant and it was only around five in the morning and usually in Chicago for me it is still dark by that time >.<. So for me it was a real great change of pace and so me and Neneko departed she headed for her apartment in Shibuya, Tokyo and we both planned on meeting up some day just to hang out with one another. But anyway as I got off the plane I headed through all the usual airport accounts, security, getting my stuff, more security. But then as I walked something caught my little otaku eyes. (Brief definition of otaku = Gamer obsessed, anime loving, geeks, nerds, manga/light novel reading, sub culture spread all over the world! Any questions?) I saw authentic The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi figurines. I just had to have them they were calling, they were calling me to save them! So as I casually walked into the mini shop inside the airport. I saw the limited edition figurine of Asahina Mikuru in her Mikuru beam pose, and it only costed about 100 yen. So I looked around a bit more and saw Nagato Yuki in her alien witch costume with the her wand! Costing 100 yen also I was so excited until I saw all three girl Mikuru, Yuki, and Haruhi in their bunny outfits and it was all for only 300 yen for the three of them as a set. So I got all of them a little present for me myself and I, I know selfish but what do you expect I am in Japan and I am a notable Otaku so of course I got them. It's possible I am even get more... But come on Haruhi was holding her guitar you have to get that! Well today was an awesome day I walked to my hostel which was fairly close to the airport which was great for me, cause I had to drop off all my stuff somewhere! So I was walking up the steps and boy wasn't it beautiful it was a traditional Japan all the way the stairs were beautifully crafted, and traditionally you take off your shoes which is what everyone did and I was given slippers xP. As I checked it I was shown to my room which was beautiful and i don't have to share yay! But my room was gorgeous it had sliding doors and traditional Japanese floors and it was just amazing i was breath taken, it even had a little fridge and TV. I would live here if I didn't have to go back home! So I put all my things away and left my Melancholy figurines all around my end table. But I had to test out my futon so I just plopped right down on it and I sort of forgot my plans to explore and fell into a deep sleep right when I was lying on my bed. *Hit himself* I knew I shouldn't have tested it. But tomorrow is a sure thing! I will explore to my hearts content! But anyway i will see you on the flip side Sugoi kids? I need to get ready to just explore my hostel! Such surreal features...

Random Blurb!
Song of the day: Lost my Music by Aya Hirano
Anime of the Day: Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu (the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi)
Book of the Day: Battle Royale by Koushun Takami (Read it! Tokyo, Japan

Hey there Sugoi Kids!
Today was an excellent day if I may say so myself! I had a blast I went over to a Cosplay Cafe to have breakfast and boy wasn't it awesome I saw all the maid cosplayers waitresses serve like master and servant it was amazing! The best part was that it was really close to my Hostel so I am thinking of having this little cafe be apart of my routine. Just come over and have some food and tea to wake me up at the start of the day. My server was really cute and shy as she took my order. But laughed at mostly all of what I said must have been my horrible Japanese, so i had spent around 650 yen a reasonable price for a good breakfast. So I took the bus down to Shibuya, Tokyo just to look around see if anything was worth seeing and boy was there! I got to see both Hachiko as a Statue and a some real Hachi's and the actual dog at National Museum of Natural Science in Shibuya. So I relaxed near hachi's statue and read his plaque. Just a bit of background knowledge Hachi was born on 11-10-1923 and died of heartworm on 3-8-1935. He was born in the Odate, Akita Prefecture, and Hachi's species of dog is Akita by the way I really want one they look and are so awesome! He saw his master off to work at the stations gates and greeted everytime he returned from work. Yet once his Owner died Hachi came back for 10 year's just waiting for his beloved owner. Those around Hachi were really moved and nicknamed him 'the faithful dog'. So I was really moved by his story to be so faithful to someone but it is understandable since Hachi didn't know that his master was dead I would have probably done the same >_>. But I also got to see some Akita Inu's being walked and one actually posed for me which was awesome. So not only that I also go to see the National Museum of Natural Science which only costed me 500 yen whoch is pretty cheap if I say so myself. Getting to see all the different exhibits was very intresting and I really learned something my time there, not only that I got to see hachi again! Love Hachi he is the dog! I also had some Dumplings and some Melon Bread which tasted magnificent I was awed by the taste of the melon bread and loved the sweet taste ofthe dumplings... *mouth waters* and it was only around 300 yen for both so it was cheaply great heheh.
No radomness blurb today sorry :(. But I will tell you my money amount left! I have now only 234,437.77 yen, looks like I have alot of spending money!

Well Later Sugoi Kiddies!
-From your Awesome Kid 'Ricky'!
Tokyo, Japan

Hey kids!
Today was not so awesome it was raining all day today and it didn't show any signs of letting up so i was forced to stay in for the whole day... Yeah right! I love the rain so the first thing I did when I woke up was go dancing in the rain and just start sliding into mud and what not! Things a kid would usually do, but it was not so great for the mud I was tracking so instead of heading for the front door I came in through the sliding doors to my room. Yet I still messed up the room I didn't ruin it and I rushed myself to my bathroom and had a nice hot bath just relaxed and sort of napped in the warm bath water it was so soothing and calming. It felt very cleansing as I just thought of everything. But I had a rude awakening when I heard the thunder roar in the room and the lightening bright up the dimly lit room as I had awoken. I headed over to the bed to just relax and watch something on tv I Caught up with alot of anime and even got ahead even though all I did was make up what they were saying and laughed at random points in time for no reason at all, and I was actually lucky enough to have rented the movie Suicide Club which was awesome and I do ask that you watch it cause you will not regret it! That was basically it and right when I headed for bed the rain started to let up and stopped when I had raised my head to hear the rain drops on the roof.
random blurb
Song: Rainy Days Never Stays - The Brilliant green
Movie: Suicide Club (Suicide Circle)
Anime of the day: NANA
Favourite number: Nana (7)
Favourite Day: Friday
Book of the Day: gathering Blue by lois Lowry
Cute Catchphrase to use after a sentence: Nii Pah!

well that is all for today kiddies
-Sugoi Kid "Ricky" Out!
Tokyo, Japan

What's up kiddies!
Well I know it's pretty late but on the plane I can see the moon over the horizon It's really beautiful and I can see below the plane are small country side houses and beaches on the shore! I also see tall mountain ranges It is really beautiful up here in the sky but I bet it will be even more beautiful once I get down on the ground and experience it all myself! We are now flying over Mount Fuji it is really beautiful the snow covered tip and all snowy glory! But before all this beauty it was really hectic at the airport there were people rushing for their flight yelling at the security guards doing their jobs. But I guess they wanted to get to their flight as fast as they could with out being bothered? It is possibly, Tokyo is so close I can just taste it! No literally for breakfast they gave us traditional Japanese food Bean paste Soup, a Bowl of Rice and a Raw egg to pour it over the rice like a sauce. At first I was in Shock and looked at it like if it was poisonous but then when I tasted it, I was in heaven it was delicious I just ate like if I never ate before! That was great and now that I am a Half and hour closer to Japan I just can't wait at all I am so anxious! They gave us breakfast at Dinner because when we would wake up we would already be in Japan so I think it was pretty choice and the food was great! But i need to keep my excitement down cause everyone is sleeping shh. When I get to my Hostel I will not blog until the end of the day o.-. Well the girl next to me lives in Tokyo and her name is Neneko and we clicked and started talking on the plane we talked about, anime's we liked, manga's we have read, food we liked American and she talked to me about Japanese culture and things I really needed to know which was awesome. We exchanged cell numbers and planned on meeting up over the week which is awesome, you can call it a date but I would not. Well right now Neneko is sleeping so I am trying not to type so loudly or else I might wake her, and yes Neneko was the one who told me the food was safe to eat and she taught me how to eat it which was cool. For my first official day in japan I am going to venture off and look at some things and maybe even buy somethings for me to enjoy.

Random Facts
Song of the Day: Your Love is A Drug! by Puffy Ami Yumi
Today is: Saturday well the end of Saturday and beginning of Sunday!
Wearing: Huge old school headphones on my ears, fingerless black gloves, dark blue jeans loose fitted, wearing a long sleeve black shirt, with a No Sleeve white shirt with a skull on the front with "Tokyo Owned" next to the skull.
Book of the Day/Manga: Nana Volume 5 (I can't believe what happened >.<)
One fun thing I am looking forward to: Singing Karaoke xD

Well write you when I am there alright?
See Ya Later Sugoi Kids
-Sugoi Kid Ricky is out for some shut eye!
Chicago, Illinois, United States

Hey Sugoi Kiddies what is up?
Well anyway today is the day where I got packing and am about to go to Japan! Yes that is right kiddies I will be on an all night plane on the 15th to to the Anime-Town. Don't miss me to much now XD so what will I be doing on this fine trip to Japan well I will be hitting all the greatest place in Tokyo! Yes that is right I will be there doing all I can for the few days I get in spring break, I will be heading to Harajuku Station, Hachiko Statue, Kawasaki!, Hachioji, Nikko, Kamakura, and tons of things other to do let us just hope my measly $3,500 can survive all I want to do, but that is for you to stick around and read and for me to horribly find out. But I will have the time of my life doing it! But I had to pay for my round trip ticket so that is most likely going to leave a hole in my budget! Lets hope the $950 plane trip is fine to my budget which is now $2,550. :( why do I have the sudden feeling like I am going to die over there? But i guess my Hostel plans are over let me just hope there is a hostel! Oh wait I just remembered that I am staying at the Ryokan Kangetsu in Tokyo $21 a night and I am staying for 8 days so now that means I will be paying $168 which is not bad I guess. So I only got now about $2,382. I guess I am fine for now though *gulp* but anyway right now I am only pack a carry on and one huge bag filled with clothes and junk and lots of space for souvenirs for me friends and family. So I will catch you on the flip side!

Those of you new to my blogs you should know that I have a little page on the bottom just stating random facts about today!
