        <b>Nerja, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands</b><br /><br />Today we drove to Nerja and toured the stone age caves there that we not discovered until 1959.  It has the largest underground cavern in all of Europe.<br />

        <b>malaga, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands</b><br /><br />Today we visted the central market and the arabic fort, the Alcazaba, in Malaga. I wanted to go the cental market so I could buy saffron, which I did.  I got 2 grams for about $12.  I last bought 1/2 gram of saffron for $8 in Eugene.  Saffron is a great seasoning for rice dishes.<br />

The weather is generally sunny, but not nice enough for people to be sunbathing.  It is the off-off season.<br><br>From here we will be exploring Malaga, Nerja and Granada.<br />

        <b>Marbella, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands</b><br /><br />We walked though the Marbella yacht harbor today.  Lots of boat and some really big.<br><br>On to Torremolinos today.  When we were on the Canopus, there was a bus every Saturday morning to Torremolinos, which was considered the Spanish Riveria at the time.<br />

        <b>Gibraltar, Gibraltar</b><br /><br />We spent two days in Gibraltar.  Took the cable car to the top and saw the apes.  Took a drive around the area and spent some time at Europa Point that looks out at Africa.<br><br>We the then drove to Marbella.<br />

        <b>Jerez de la Frontera, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands</b><br /><br />Today we drove to Jerez.  We toured the Gonzalez Bypass bodega.  We then went to the Sandeman bodega for I could buy some souvenirs.  Then on to a visit of the Alcazar.<br><br>At 4:00 in the afternoon, we walked through the shopping area, but almost all the stores were closed for siesta!<br />

        <b>Sanlucar de Barrameda, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands</b><br /><br />Saturday we drove to Sanlucar to take a boat tour of the National Park of Donana.  We saw wild deer and boars.<br><br>Afterwards we went to the Barbadillo Manzanilla Museum, which we were only able to find by following a really friendly Spanish man with a dog and his family that allowed us to follow him in our car to the museum.  Otherwise, we would have never been able to find it.<br />
