Right so finished up working at enda January i think..   I did briefly consider workin another week or so, but there were loads of public holidays (the mon and wed) and a two day week wasnt to interesting to me.. and then after that id barely 2 or 3 weeks left in NZ, so thought fuk that going back to work jazz for me last bita time here.. Was more up for chilling out - njoyn the beaches and rivers and laid back time off in summer weather conditions!!  No reason to rush to get a job for a short period of time like that!!So i stayed on living in me caravan..  :D  and still stay in Motueka.  Been snorkeling a gudbit around the beaches on me time off - and going for walks in the parks and round the rural roads here - found a new wharf (well, new to me, its been there a while!) yesterday and there was noone at it..   Then the other day i was again, the only one on a gift little beach / bay jst a few km before the abel tasman officially begins. Nice!!Apart from that not doing a whole lot - going to Salmonella Dub tommorrow in concert in Nelson so that should be gud fun.. Looking forward to it..  Still got a skydive to organise so must get sorting that out soon too whilst i think of it!!!  Defo cant wait to do that!!  :-)

So i think i lost that job for a good reason... I got a better one!  More fun and people so far i work with are sound.  Was supposed to start on the 8th, but suprisingly, it rained here!!  So moved into my new gaf and organised some stuff... then started work on the 9th - Kiwi Fruit thinning.What did i learn....?  Well, did u know that theres 8 species / types of kiwis??!   I didnt.  But i do now.  Big shame cant eat them yet thou.. they aint ripe enuf by far.  Doh.  But yeap, work is good and caravan living has its advantages.... 1 being its super cheap!!  I pay $40 a week and that includes power charges.. Ive got me own cookers and sink in the caravan too..The day it rained, i went to the recycling centre (sorta garage jumble mismash of peoples crap they want rid of...) i got a kettle for $5 and a radio also for $5 - perfect for my new home!!  I could have got a tv for $15, but that wasnt the way i wanted to go..  Im getting back into sports and training and activities so last thing i want near me is a tv to distract me from doing things..  :-)  Onea the germans that also started the same day apparently has a laptop so we can rent a few dvds and watch them on that if people want / are up for it..  Ah life is good at mo - am quite content and happy with how things are going.. bit wrecked from work and playing sports for 2 hrs today - but a happy wrecked.. thou it'll probably turn into painful stiffness tommorow so a snorkel / swim might be called for if the weather is good then after work!!  :-)

Well sort of.  Yea so done one days work last week - apparently didnt do the best job and butchered a few trees.  Pah.  Show me properly how to do the job and i can - dont and i wont!  :D Got paid anyway thou this morning for my butcher skills and now get the opportunity to job hunt again.. or doss and do sweet fa! hehe.  Will see what happens.  No point killing myself thou to get work - after all, one days work after 4 months or so off is quite an achievement for me to have stayed for in the first place so fuck it!  :D

Milford Sound, New Zealand

So woke up at whatever time... dying for a coffee!!  So handily there was a cafe there and i went and got a big cuppa and then started to stroll around milford walks.. weather started to close in then and clouds were rolling down and over so wasnt gonna see shitloads more that day  there so thought fuck it, what ive seen ive liked, but lots more ahead to go to, so decided to hit the road and make my way backwards (only 1 road in and outa milford bout an hr & half or so drive?) so i did stop off loads on the way back - went to see some lovely lakes and waterfalls etc - which was nice, broke up the drive a bit.. so stopped in te anau then again to get a pie - had been told by mel and somea the others to defo get a pie there.. and yeap was nice alrite - unfortunately they just didnt have all the ones on the menu left as they'd sold out.. must be a busy little spot.. can see / taste why thou!!Anyway - enjoyed the bita time in milford.. after pie stop in te anau i also stopped at kingston at far enda queenstown lakes.. gorgous place..  Then missioned on for cromwell...

So had a grand drive across from Dunedin to Te Anau - walked around the lake there for a while (liked this place quite a bit.. was lovely weather too so that prob helped at the time!!) ..before driving onto Milford..  Nice spot, wasnt too busy -a  few people in milford obvioulsy had same idea as meself.. lotsa people sleeping in cars and vans there - all set they were for heading out on the boat the next morning.. early rises for some...

So decided to stop off and visit a few mates in cromwell on my way back up through there..  So called into the pub and had a few pints with somea the staff there that used to know and then caught up with some other mates too and crashed there for the night and decided to head onto Haast and west coast the next morning!!

Port jackson, New Zealand

So drove up to port jackson, and got there in the evening.. into a DOC campground and set up me tent.  Had bita a stroll on the beach - nice and chilled..On the drive in the previous evening had passed by a place that would inspire thoughts of wexford caravan sites.. fukn LOADS of caravans there - musta been a holiday park in the area or sumthing..  Anyway, the wind the night before was mad strong so ended up taking the tent back down and sleeping in the car... lol.  Funny afterwards!

Right so it was pissing rain all day in Taupo, and forecast wasnt too good for next few days, so decided to skip town.. and head south - wanted to do the tongariro crossing, or part of.. but can be dodgy in bad weather conditions so thought fuk hanging around waiting for weather to clear - dont have the patience for that.. so kept driving to wellington - deciding to catch up with max, and then get the ferry back to the south island before christmas. Eventually stopped raining last night at some point - so going to buzz round the city today and tomorrow i guess and then ferry at 8pm tomorrow to picton.. glad i made it up to north island, but think i prefer the south... also never got a speeding ticket in the south island - and obviously i did in the north.. not too impressed bout that but anyway!!   Hopefully weathers bit better in south isl too as its been quite crappy in the north so far...!!

Taupo, New Zealand

So it was into taupo about 10.30 or 11pm?  Found a motor camp and tented it for the night.. Today (18th) walking around town sussing out a few treks to go on etc.. (And ringing activities to organise some stuffy) and who do i run into.. Lol.. James!  Hostel i worked for are / have JUST opened a new one here and hes here working on it, so think it'll be a day catching up again and then drinks later in the hostel bar (which is swanky!) with everyone... fun fun!! Weathers bit shit at mo, so skydiving mightnt be on the cards for today but is possible soonish hopefully!!  :-P  Ok so, 19th today.. went yesterday to Huku Falls with James, and then we went to go to Craters of the moon too, but PISSED rain so skipped that and went and and go some food in.. and went to the lake.  Now i knew the birds in the north island are tame, but this was ridiculous!!  They were eating chips and bread outa our hands - literally had starlings and sparrows landing on our hands trying to get at the food!  Was gift!! Then the ducks got in on the act.. so it was off to the shops to get a loaf of bread for them!!  On the return, fed them loads, but there was an evil black swan that would grab young ducks by the neck and fling them away - well try  anyway, just so they couldnt have the food the swan wanted!!  Madness!!Also an aul shag hanging around off the rocks near us too...Previous to this, lol... meself and james discovered a playground.. so it was bitta a laugh gettn soaked on the slide and nearly fallin off!!  But all gud!!Cupla jars tha nite and then bed... a real bed an all!!  And one no one else had ever slept on!  Brand new hostel.. brand new room beds etc etc..  Hahah.  And wot was it... yeap free!!  :D  Nice one!!  :DOh, and this morning i returned to craters of moon.. thinkn weather would stay clear.. eh NO. so got soaked.. ah well..  Was contemplating hanging around to wait for my skydive, but could easily be waiting feckn days the way the weather is at the mo so fuck it.. will get it somewhere else i guess!!
