Ultimos dias en Sydney, de relax, solecito y paseos. El fin de semana, fuimos de mercadillos para ver si conseguiamos alguna ganga acorde a nuestro presupuesto (si!!!! Sandra se compro finalmente ese maravilloso vestido verde).Y durante la semana hicimos un par de excursiones a las playas cercanas: la famosa Bondi, con sus surferos y gente sana y Manly, para caminar por la naturaleza y disfrutar de los maravillosos acantilados y el oceano salvaje (y alguno delfines).Y llego Phil, desde el otro lado del planeta (donde es verano y hay 40 grados), a sufrir el frio del invierno en el hemisferio sur. Lo que se hace por amor... Sandra se fue a Melbourne por adelantado y nos dejo solitos por un par de dias, donde hicimos un tour a toda pastilla de la ciudad y pudimos disfrutar de un estupento concierto en la mismisima Opera House!Ya nos vamos a Melbourne... echaremos de menos nuestro cutre hostel, que se convirtio al final en un hogar, sus grasientas barbacoas gratis los sabados y los amiguitos que hicimos: Jordi el aventurero y nuestras majisimas companeras de habitacion, Clair y Stephanie (que estaran ahora torrandose en Fiji).By Pato<i>Last days in Sydney relaxing and walking aroound. During the weekend we went to some markets looking for bargains (according to our budget). And yes! Sandra bought that lovely green dress she dreamt during thewhole week.<i>During the following week we made a couple of excursions to the famous beaches in Sydney: Bondi, full of surfers and healthy people and Manly, to do some bush-walk and see the amazing landscape (and some dolphins).<i>Then Phil arrived from the other side of the world (where it's summer and there are 40 degrees) to suffer the winter in the south hemisphere. That's love! Sandra went to Melbourne before us and we spent a coupleof days in Sydney, making a quick tour. Also we could enjoy a concert in the Opera House!<i>And now to Melbourne... we will miss our hostel, which was at the end like home, its grassy free bbqs on Saturday night and of course our friends: Jordi and our great room mates Clair and Stephanie, now havingfun in Fiji.

Goa, Goa, India

En cuanto baje del avion en el aeropuerto de Goa me di cuenta de que todo habia cambiado. Esto es otra India, muy diferente a la que he vivido hasta ahora. Me vi rodeada de una calma inusual y de palmeras y bochorno tropical. Lo que buscaba, tranquilidad para mi ultima etapa del viaje.En Chapora me reuni con Eva, Sandra (un par de catalanas de lo mas majas que conoci por este pais) y Kaushal, el particular heroe de Sandra en la odisea de Mumbai y que la acompaño hasta alli para conocer tambien esta area y no dejo de sorprenderse de nuestros habitos occidentales y de como nos tratan de engatusar los vendedores.Basicamente nos dedicamos a recorrer playas en moto, disfrutar del sol y el mar y el pescadito rico.Aunque las playas no son lo a lo que estamos acostumbrados... pero es una experiencia divertida.Para empezar, todos los indios preguntan si se pueden sacar una foto contigo. Es algo a lo que ya estoy habituada, pero no en bikini! esta vez no, no me gusta la idea de que alguien tenga una foto conmigo medio en bolas. Por otro lado, los vendedores ambulantes, muy pesados, y las señoras, muy listas. Primero se sientan y charlan contigo y cuando te quieres dar cuenta ya te has dejado hacer trenzas en la cabeza, las cejas o has comprado unas cuantas pulseritas...... y, por supuesto, las vacas sagradas. Tiene toda la gracia, pero hay que tener cuidado. Si te descuidas y te vas al chiringuito, igual te toca correr porque una vaca gigante se dirige hacia los pareos para comerselos de merienda!!!Tambien fuimos una tarde a Goa vieja, capital de la antigua colonia portuguesa, muy pintoresca por el contraste de culturas... era la fiesta de Francisco Xavier y habia una misa masiva (como todo aqui en la India) y resulto de lo mas curioso ver los habitos de los curas, de lo mas brillantes, o mujeres asistiendo a la misa en sari. Se nota la influencia de la colonia, no solo por los edificios, sino por los atuendos de la gente, su actitud y a veces hasta el lenguaje. Resulta de los mas raro oirles hablar en portugues.Me gusta esta India.By Pato<i>In the moment I got off the plane I noticed that everything was different. This was another India, from what I had lived before. I was sourounded by an unusual calm and palm trees and tropical heat. Just what I was looking for my last days of the trip.<i>I went to Chapora beach and I met Eva, Sandra (two catalan girls I met before in India) and Kaushal, Sandra's personal hero from Mumbai incidents and who came with here to Goa to see it for the first time. He was always surprised with our western habits and how sellers were always trying to chat us.<i>What we did was to visit beaches by motorbike, enjoying the sun and sea and eat good fish (with white wine). The beach is not what we are used to... but it is a lovely and funny experience.<i>All Indians want a picture with you. That is not unusual for us but the problem here is that we are semi-naked! also there are the sellers... most women and quite persistant. First the sit besides you and start aconversation and questions about our culture and life. Yo have always the thought of not buying anything! but then you realize that you are already buying! or you have braids in your hair, or even you let them pluck your eyebrows!<i>And of course... the holy cows! It is very funny but one must be carefull. Be aware of your belongings if you go to the bar, perhaps a huge cow is going to eat your pareo!<i>We went also to Old Goa which was a portuguese colony in the past, quite funny and full of contrasts. It was Francisco Xavier Festival and there was a massive mass (as everything here in India) and it was bizarre for us seeing the priests clothes (so bright) or women receiving communion in their saris. The influence is not only there and the buildings but also in clothes in normal people, their attitude and even the language. So funny hear Indian people speaking portuguese!<i>I like this India!

Tras un viaje en autobus bastante malo (nunca llegaré a acostumbrarme a los baches y los ataudes) y algo accidentado (nos hicieron pagar de más, NO a GASNESH TRAVELS!), llegamos a Om Beach tempranito. Andy decidió dormir y Eva y yo fuimos a desayunar a la playa y a fichar hoteles. De paso, ya fichamos también el que sería nuestro restaurante favorito, el Freedom café, donde disfrutamos de un buen desayuno y de vistas formidables del amanecer en la playa. Al final, decidimos darnos un lujazo y quedarnos en unas cabañitas con baño privado y todo, de lo más monas, en un hotel que era de lo mejor de la zona. Eso sí, tenían un establo con un par de vacas que llenaban de basura para alimentarlas... en fin, esto es India...También nos dimos cuenta en la playa: los indios seguían pidiendo fotos y hasta accedieron a pagar las 50rupias que Eva pedía. Aún asi, me encanta el entusiasmo de los chavales cuando van al mar y se bañan, para ellos es toda una fiesta (también es cierto que para muchos de ellos es la primera vez que ven el mar). Y las vacas... aquí teníamos a una amiga con cuernos azules que era la reina del lugar, y en algunas ocasiones la concentración de ellas por la noche era tal que no podíamos ni pasar al chiringuito!En definitiva, resumiría Gokarna como un sitio muy muy tranquilo, para descansar y disfrutar de buena comida. Y las playas son maravillosas. Nuestro barquero favorito, Little Dolphin, nos llevó un día a Paradise Beach y descubrimos un rincón increíble para relajarnos (y hacer Reiki).Y con ésto acaba mi ruta por la India (que no las aventuras y experiencias). A partir de aquí, ya me dirijo al norte rumbo a casa... pero no hay mejor forma de acabar el viaje que en una playa, no?By Pato<i>After a terrible bus journey (I will never got used to the bad roads and coffins) and stressing (we had to pay more than the agreed, DON'T travel with GANESH TRAVELS!), we arrived to Om beach quite early in the<i>morning. Andy decided to take a room and sleep and Eva and I went for a breakfast at the beach and check accomodation. We discovered also our favourite restaurant there, Freedom Café where we enjoyed our first<i>breakfast in Gokarna and lovely views.<i>At the end we decided to stay in a good resort, with nice bungalows with private bathroom. A little luxury to finish our trip. But in the way to the rooms there was a terrible stable with cows eating the hotel garbage... well, we couldn't forget that this is India!<i>At the beach indian boys asked as usual for a picture of us... even paying the 50 rupees that Eva asked for it! But I just loved the energy and happiness of these people in the sea, it's quite a party! (for most of them it is their first time at the sea). And the cows, of course... we had one in Om with blue horns, the boss, approaching so much! and also sometimes was very difficult to get into the bars because all the cows were in the entrance having a rest.<i>So Gokarna was for us a quiet place to have a rest and enjoy good life and food. And the beaches were just amazing. Our favourite boat man, Little Dolphin, took us to Paradise beach where we discover a wonderfulplace to spend the day and relax (with some Reiki).<i>So with this my route in India finished (not the experiences)... now it's time to go North for my way back... but there is no better way to finish than here in the beach!

Mumbai (Bombay), Maharashtra, India

De nuevo en Mumbai (para los despistados, Bombay), esperando que esta vez la visita sea menos accidentada. Dejo a Eva en Colaba y paso mis últimos días de viaje con mi amigo Aman en el barrio de Mahim. Ya me siento con mucha más soltura en esta ciudad que sin duda está llena de vida y tienes rincones muy agradables (no lo es tanto el tráfico en hora punta, jeje).Así que básicamente los dos días en la ciudad se resumen en desayuno en Leopold con Eva, café que volvió al movimiento habitual después de los incidentes, pero que ha decidido guardar de recuerdo los agujeros de las balas en las paredes (vaya impresión, sobre todo al recordar aquella noche!); últimas compras y caprichos varios; visita a la isla de Elephanta y, como no, una película de las de Bollywood! He de reconocer que ya fui a una comedia con Aman la vez anterior, pero ahora Eva y yo vimos uno de esos musicales que ha hecho famoso el cine de la India (eso sí, moderno, pero sin besos) y en un cine de los clásicos, en Colaba. Momento curioso cuando, antes de comenzar la película, aparece la bandera de la India en pantalla, la gente se pone en pie, y suena el himno nacional... todavía no me ha quedado claro si es algo habitual o algo puntual por lo de los atentados.Y disfrutar de la compañía de los locales: Wanda, la hermana de Hubert (mi jefe de Citi), súper maja, con la que cenamos una noche y nos dio buenos consejos sobre compras de calidad y, por supuesto, Aman, que, como siempre, tuvo cuidado de que mi comida no fuese demasiado picante... mil gracias a los dos por los buenos ratos y ayudarme a comprender mejor este país que a veces me parece de locos!Y ya, a embarcar hacia Delhi, para el regreso... me dio pena abandonar esta ciudad, me gusta Mumbai!By Pato<i>Again in Mumbai (for confused people, Bombay) hoping to have a less dangerous experience this time. I left Eva in Colaba and I spent my last days of my trip with my friend Aman in Mahim. Now I feel so comfortable in this city full of life and with quite nice places (not the traffic jam in rush hour, hehe).<i>What I did, basically: breakfast with Eva in Leopold, the famous café which was again full of people and with its usual movement after the attacks. But the bullet holes on the wall remain as a bitter souvenir of that night (what a strange feeling to see them and remember how lucky we were!). Shopping gifts and cheap things for us, a visit to Elephanta island and, of course, going to the movies to see a Bollywood film! I have to confess that I was already before with Aman watching a comedy. But this time Eva and I went to watch a musical (of course!) in a nice cinema (old one) in Colaba. Funny moment when everybody has to stand before the movie starts to see the flag on screen and hear (and sing) the national hymn! not sure yet if this is something usual or it is special because of what happenned here.<i>And of course enjoy the company of the local people! Wanda, Hubert's sister (Hubert was my boss in Citi), so nice girl we had dinner with (and she gave us good advice at shopping) and Aman, always taking care of my food (not too spicy, please ;)... thanks to both of you for the good moments and to help me to understand better a country, culture and people (sometimes I thought everything was so crazy here!).<i>And then fly to Delhi to go back home... sad to leave this lovely city, I love Mumbai!

Me he saltado temporalmente nuestro encuentro con Sandra y Maleni, nuestra aventura en el desierto y la magnifica ciudad de Udaipur (todo vendra a su tiempo), pero los acontecimientos requieren unas palabras...Ante todo, estamos bien y alejadas de la zona donde sucedio todo, y eso es lo importante.Llegamos a la ciudad el miercoles, felices de haber volado y no haber sufrido uno de esos largos viajes en autobus o en tren, y con la risa tonta de no tener ninguna reserva en hotel y tener que buscarnos la vida. Asi que llegamos a Colaba, el barrio turistico, a negociar por una habitacion buena, bonita y barata. En fin, no demasiado economica, pero conseguimos una decente en un cutre hotel lleno de hombres que nos miraban. Suficiente para salir del paso y pegarnos una buena ducha.Antes de quedar con Aman, decidimos ir a dar una vueltecita y fichar otros hoteles. En nuestro paseo por el maritimo, pasamos por la puerta del majestuoso Taj y bromeamos sobre lo agusto que estariamos en ese hotel... creo que ahora me alegro de ser una mochilera piojosa.En fin, que nos fuimos al cafe Leopold a tomar unas cervezas con Aman y abandonamos el bar para ir a un restaurante local en otra area. 10 minutos despues comenzo el tiroteo en Leopold...Tambien recuerdo como estuvimos bromeando en la cena sobre lo arriesgado de estar comiendo en un sitio muy de locales, con las manos y sin haber utilizado el gel antibacteriano! La cena, aunque picante, fue estupenda.A la vuelta a Colaba, paseando, Aman nos invito a un <i>Paan que casi nos mata (Lorraine todavia se pone mala al recordarlo) y hablamos con Wanda, la hermana de Hubert, para quedar al dia siguiente, de nuevo en Leopold. De repente, vimos gente corriendo y gritandonos para que no continuasemos hacia Colaba. Finalmente nos dimos cuenta de la gravedad del asunto y Aman nos llevo a su casa. Ahora debe de ser la envidia del barrio, teniendo en su casa a dos occidentales estupendas como nosotras!Ese fue el comienzo de un par de dias de encierro en el apartamento, alucinando con las noticias y sin nisiquiera tener un cepillo de dientes con nosotras (incluso mi pasaporte estaba abandonado en el hotel). Pero no perdimos el sentido del humor y tranquilizamos a los nuestros todo lo que pudimos. Aun asi, creo que desde Espana se ha alarmado mucho sobre la situacion. Aqui la gente estaba mucho mas tranquila, a pesar de la evidente gravedad de los acontecimientos. Y, en el consulado, con una pachorra ya fuera de lo habitual (incluso animandome a volver a Colaba, en medio del mogollon, a recoger mis pertenencias)... pero no voy a hacer comentarios de eso.Hoy por fin hemos podido regresar al hotel y recoger nuestras cosas. Por supuesto, nos quedamos en casa de Aman, ahora nuestro heroe. Desde el taxi he podido ver una ciudad que casi ha vuelto a la normalidad, llena de vida y con muy muy buena pinta. Por eso, y a pesar de las suplicas de mi familia para regresar en estos aviones especiales que se han fletado desde Europa, he decidido quedarme y disfrutar de esta energia que recibo en este pais, disfrutrar de mis ultimos dias de viaje y de mis amigos indios, que se han preocupado tanto de mi. No va a pasar nada, lo se, y no voy a dar el gustazo a esos barbaros que han atacado la ciudad abandonando como un perro con el rabo entre las piernas.Aman, Wanda, mil gracias por vuestra ayuda y atencion hacia nosotras.Tambien gracias a Rangit, que se ha preocupado desde Delhi.By Pato<i>I'm going to skip temporarily the chapters on Jodhpur and meeting Sandra and Maleni, our adventure in the desert and the great city of Udaipur (I will write about all this later), but what happened in Bombay makes me write these words...<i>First of all we are fine and safe, and far away of the conflict area and that is the most important thing.<i>We arrived to the city on Wednesday quite happy to have taken a flight and not a long distance bus or train. We were also laughing about arriving without any reservation and going in an adventure. So we got into Colaba area, place for tourists, to bargain for a nice room in a hotel. The room was ok but the hotel very old and weird, full of men<i>staring at us. But that was only for one night and we really need a good shower.<i>We were going to meet my friend Aman but first we went for a walk in the area. I remember walking in front of the magnificent Taj hotel and just joking about how good it could be to stay there... now I'm very happy to be a poor backpacker.<i>So then we went to Leopold Cafe to have some beers with Aman and we left to go to a local restaurant in a different area. That was 10 min. before the shooting started there...<i>I remember also that we were laughing about the risky dinner we were having: a restaurant full of local people, eating with our food and not having used our antibacterian gel! .it was spicy but really nice. <i>In our walk back to Colaba, Aman invited us to Paan and that almost kills us n(Lorraine still gets sick when I mention this word) and we talked with Wanda, Hubert's sister to meet the following day at Leopold.<i>Suddenly we saw people running and shouting at us, telling us to not going to Colaba. We didn't know in the begining what was going on but then we notice that it was something quite big. So Aman just took us to his flat. Now I think he is the envy of the neighbourhood having a couple of western girls in his place!<i>That was the beginig of a couple of days into the flat, watching the news and without our things (nor even a teethbrush!). But we kept our sense of humor and had a funny time together. Also we had a hard work trying to calm our family and friends.<i>Today we could finally go back to the hotel to pick our things (of course we are staying in Aman's), who is now our hero. From the taxi I have seen the city, now back to normal life, full of colours and quite nice in fact!<i>So, despite the petition from my family to go back in these emergency planes Europe is sending here, I'm going to stay in India, a country that really fills me with energy and enjoy the last days of my trip here with my friends, lovely indian people, who have taken care of me. I know nothing is going to happen and I'm not going to make terrorist get what they are looking for which is make us leave!<i>Aman, Wanda, many thanks for your care and for being so nice.<i>Also thanks to Rangit, who worried also from Delhi.

Volvemos a la gran urbe... que no nos deja de sorprender. Como la ciudad con mas poblacion del mundo puede tener estos niveles de seguridad y civismo? Pues nada mas llegar Alberto y yo nos fuimos a comprar regalitos y a volver a ver como estos japoneses estan en todo... incluso te ponen una envoltura de plastico en las bolsas de papel los dias de lluvia! y a degustar una buena hamburguesa, que ya la echabamos de menos!Ya, con Sandra de vuelta, quedamos con Alngel, el aletico de Alcorcon (parece un nombre de torero, jeje), paseamos por un barrio de Asakusa desierto (algo increible) y tomamos alguna copilla. Tambien fuimos con el a Odaiba, una isla artificial futurista que han plantado en la bahia. Algo horterilla, eso si, pero con un atardecer espectacular. Lo mejor fue el viaje en el monorail sin conductor...Tambien nos pegamos un madrugon de campeonato para ir a ver la famosa lonja de pescado de Tsukiji, la mas grande del mundo (que se esperaba de los japoneses, ademas de ser los mayores consumidores de pescado del mundo?), donde tuvimos que despertarnos a marchas forzadas para poder esquivar las transportadoras que iban como locas de un lado para otro. En fin, otro mundo, de lo mas fascinante, todo lo que se mueve alli, y lo poco que huele a pescado! por supuesto, los japoneses, sin perder la simpatia.Pero lo mejor fue ir a ver un dia a la Mari al tablao donde actuaba... Fermin y ella me habian hablado muchisimo de la cultura del flamenco aqui, pero hasta que no lo ves no lo crees! Lo pasamos muy bien. La Mari canta de maravilla, vay aartista! Nos sentimos un poquito como en casa, con esa tortilla de patata y pulpo a la gallega (aunque no estaba muy bien apaleado). Gracias por invitarnos, Alberto!En fin, experiencias niponas varias en nuestros ultimos dias juntos... Alberto se vuelve a Madrid, Sandra continua a Hong Kong... y yo me quedo un poco mas, que me siento aqui como pez en el agua!By Pato<i>Back to the city... always surprising. I'm still wondering how the most populated city in the world can be also the most civilised and safe. So Alberto and I went directly to shopping (getting into the consumism world). These japanese have details for everything... like putting some plastic around the paper bags in raint days! and then a hamburguer... we missed it so much!<i>Once with Sandra we met with Angel (one guy from Madrid we met in Kyoto) and we walked in an incredible empty Asakusa (at night) and had a drink. Also we went to Odaiba, an artificial futuristic island in the bay of Tokyo. So cheesy but with a great sunset. But the best was the trip in monorail without driver...<i>Also we woke up veeery early to go and see the famous Tsukiji fish market, the biggest in the world (what can we expect from japanese, also being the highst fish consumers?). There we had to wake up because the danger of the transportation cars... that was another world, so amazing, so lively! Of course, so nice the people there...<i>But the best was going to see Mari singing in the flamenco show... Fermin and she talked me a lot about flamenco world in Japan, but on can't never imagine! We had a great time, Mari sings really good and wefelt a little like at home, with Spanish omelet and octopus... so nice!<i>Some japanese experiences for our last days together... Alberto goes back to Spain and Sandra flies to Hong Kong according to the plan... I stay here for a while!

De Hiroshima, vuelta al oeste, hacia Takayama, parando en Himeji, par aver el famoso castillo, que no defraudo. Como todo aqui en Japon, muy bonito y con unos espacios y ubicacion increibles.Y llegamos a Hida, en un tren local y ya cuando llegamos nos dimos cuenta de que se trataba de una zona muy tranquila y rural (el no ver gente por las calles al anochecer nos sorprendio despues de la masificacion de las ciudades). Y hacia frio!El caso es que llegamos al alojamiento, un hostel en un templo, donde habia hasta toque de queda. Fue raro, pero divertido, pues alli nos encontramos un grupo de chicas vascas con quien compartimos experiencias en este pais, que a veces parece de locos. El viejecillo a cargo del templo nos mando a la cama a las 10 y nos levanto a las 7. Entonces decidimos cambiar de templo...En el siguiente, la experiencia fue total, pues el monje en cuestion (que por cierto, era un amor) nos planto los futones justo delante de un altar. Eso si que es una experiencia religiosa!Ya, durante el dia, paseito por la ciudad, viendo templos, mercados y en busca del castillo (que ya no existe) y excursion a Shirakawa, un pueblito rural con unas casas de lo mas originales, para protegerse de la nieve en invierno. Aunque aquello mas que un pueblo del Japon rural parecia Disneylandia, con ese concepto tan particular del turismo que tienen los nipones.Luego Sandra decidio volver a Kyoto un par de dias mas y Alberto y yo decidimos relajarnos al mas puro estilo japones: Onsen (si, esta vez entre, con mi tatuaje y todo!), donde alucine con esta costumbre y ritual del bano en aguas termales (quien haya estado sabe a que me refiero), luego cenita buena y noche en Ryokan, que es el alojamiento tipico japones. Asi que nos toco dormir sobre tatami y degustar un desayuno japones (lo de comer algas y pescado en el desayuno no triunfo... menos mal que no contratamos la cena!) y la experiencia de comunicarse con alguien que solo hablaba japones.Despues de estos dias de relax, vuelta a la jungla... alla vamos de nuevo, Tokyo!By Pato<i>From Hiroshima we went back to the west to Takayama, with a quick stop in Himeji to see the famous castle which was quite great as all the japanese... with incredible spaces and location. And then we arrived to Hida in alocal train and we realised that it was a calm and rural place, which was so strange for us after being in places with such a lot of people and life. And it was chilly!<i>So our accomodatio this time was in a temple. It was weird but funny as we met some Spanish girls (from Basque Country) and we could share experiences in this different country. The old man in the temple sent us to bed at 10 and woke us up at 7! Then we decided to change the temple...<i>The other one was great (and specially the old man, so nice and funny!) and we slept just under the sanctuary. That's a real religious experience!<i>And during the day we walked around the town, seeing temples, markets and looking for the castle (there's no castle anymore but a huge garden) and we made an excursion to Shirakawa, a small village with very original houses with a funny roof to being protected from the snow in winter time. Althought that looked more as Disney than a rural village... it's this strange concept of tourism that japanese people have.<i>After that Sandra went back to Kyoto for a couple of days and Alberto and me stayed for a little bit of japanese relax: Onsen (this time I could get in with my tatoo), where I was amazed with this activity and ritual of the termal baths, good dinner and Ryokan, the typical japanese accomodation. So we had to sleep on a tatami and taste a japanese breakfast (too much for us eating weeds and fish in the morning) and the funny experience of comunnicating with someone who couldn't speak a word in English.<i>After these days of relax, go back to the jungle... here we go, Tokyo!

Nikko, Kanto, Japan

Despues de unos dias disfrutando de la gran urbe, Alberto y yo cogimos nuestro primer shinkansen (tren bala) para hacer una excursion a Nikko, antigua capital del imperio y ciudad llena de tesoros artisticos...Alli, ademas de comenzar a ver templos y templos sin parar, como un apertitivo de lo que nos espera aqui, descubrimos que los japoneses tambien hacen turismo masivo dentro de su propio pais, al igual que lo hacen fuera, furor por fotos incluido. Igualmente, nos dimos cuenta de que Japon debe de estar de moda por alli porque media España esta aqui de vacaciones! (pero, no habia crisis?).Y yo, por mi parte, sigo fascinada con el diseño de los edificios, espacios interiores y jardines de este maravilloso pais. La pena es que en la mayoria de los templos no se pueden hacer fotos en el interior...A la vuelta, cenamos en Shinjuku (Tokyo) con Fermin y la Mari. No paramos de comer!!! y claro, se nos castigo la gula y perdimos el ultimo tren a nuestro barrio (en la otra punta de la ciudad). Como siempre, fuimos salvados por un regimiento de japoneses que nos buscaron una ruta alternativa a traves de su movil. Me encanta esta gente!By Pato<i>After some days enjoying the amazing city of Tokyo, Alberto and I took our first shinkansen (bullet train) to go to Nikko for a day, which was the old capital of the Empire and it is full of artistic treasures.<i>There we started to see temples and temples (and we will probably continue during our tour in Japan) and we also discovered that japanese people do massive tourism within their country too! (also taking thousands of pictures). And Japan is full of Spanish people on holidays! I thought there was a crisis...<i>I'm totally fascinated by the design here: buildings, interior spaces, gardens... everything is so beautiful!<i>That night we went to Shinjuku (Tokyo) to have dinner with Fermin and Mari. We ate too much!!! so we were punished and we lost our last train to our place... as always, we were saved by japanese people who quickly found and alternative route through their mobile!! I love these people!

Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory, Australia

Tras tres dias de viaje eterno llegamos a Darwin, dormimos, y empezamos otro tour a Kakadu de dos dias. En Australia todo es grande, las distancias, los camiones, los termiteros (mirad la foto!como 5metros!)...y los cocodrilos!que miedito!nos hartamos de verlos en el Mary River...y cuando te cuentan que encima pueden saltar y levantar sus cuerpecitos de una tonelada&nbsp;unos cuatro metros, pues como que no te arrimas tanto al borde del barco. Cuando llueve mucho se los encuentran hasta en el supermercado. En fin, la fauna del lugar no deja de sorprenderme.Tras averia en el autobus/camion de la que salimos airosos gracias a un fetu mecanico en el grupo, llegamos a Kakadu donde disfrutamos dos dias de bano en bano en lagunas tropicales (bueno, ellos, porque yo paso de que me pille un cocodrilo) y de unas pinturas rupestres bastante interesantes.Mas camping, mas barbacoa australiana, mas bocatas...Rick esta tercero en el ranking de guias despues de Jason y Sauce (el number one).Un dato curioso. En Australia hay una franja horaria de media hora menos...me explico, entre Darwin o Alice Spings y Sydney hay media hora de diferencia. Ein? lo que no pase en este pais....&nbsp;S<i>We finally arrive in Darwin after a long three day drive. We leave to Kakadu the following morning.<i>Everything is big in Australia. Distances, trucks,&nbsp;termite mounds&nbsp;(have&nbsp; a look at the picture!)...and also crocodiles!We went to visit them at the Mary River...they are&nbsp; so cute! when you hear that they can even jump four metres with their one ton body you tend to back a little form the edge of the boat. They've even been seen in supermarkets in heavy rain seasons. This country is just crazy!<i>We make it to Kakadu after a bus break down in the middle of nowhere...thankfully there was an italian mecanich in the group and he managed to fix it!&nbsp;two days of&nbsp;refreshing baths&nbsp;in different lagoons ans waterfalls and enjoying the aboriginal paintings. Phil discovers a weird species of spider that apparently blinks her eyes at you when you look at her (or something like that...)<i>More camping, more australian barbercue, more sandwiches...Rick is third in our guide ranking, after Jason and Sauce (the number one!)<i>One more interesting thing about Australia. There's half hour difference between Darwin and Alice and Sydney. How weird is that?!

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Llevamos ya mas de una semana en Sydney. Tenemos que hacer tiempo hasta que llegue Phil el dia 6, y la verdad es que nos esta cundiendo. Se demuestra una vez mas que somos chicas de ciudad. Sydney nos gusta. Nos costo un poco la llegada, sobre todo en el hostel llenito de anglosajones veinteaneros alcoholizados, habitaciones en las que no se ve el suelo de m*** que hay...pero tras pedir cambios mas de tres veces y caernos una noche de gratis por accidente hemos conseguido "La habitacion" solo de cuatro y de aqui nos nos mueven! Puede ser un rollo contar estas cosas, pero no sabeis lo importante que llega a ser tener espacio para poner tu mochila! Ahora somos claramente las reinas del lugar.&nbsp;Estamos en Kings Cross, la calle mas "kinki" de la ciudad con una fauna bastante interesante. Fauna humana y animal, la ciudad esta llena de cacatuas, ibis paseando a sus anchas por los parques, murcielagos durmiendo en los arboles...&nbsp;Hemos tenido una pequena crisis de armario, o mas bien de mochila, porque aqui la gente es como superglamourosa y hay unos mercadillos maravillosos...pero claro, no podemos, y las botas de trekking y los forros polares ya empiezan a aburrir...pero bueno, es un mal menor y se soluciona comprandonos algun caprichito. Te puede hacer tan feliz una camiseta nueva! ( o la idea de comprarte un vestido!)&nbsp;Estuvimos con Juanma (mi amigo de la ofi) y Maria un par de dias y nos reimos un monton haciendo el gamba delante de la Opera. Es genial encontrarse con amigos de casa por el camino.&nbsp;Creo que podriamos montar una agencia de viajes aqui con toda la informacion que tenemos sobre rutas y excursiones en Australia.Todo para encajar lo mejor en 20 dias! Melbourne, desierto, parque natural, playa, surf, barrera de coral, selva...el mes que tenemos por delante va a ser bien movidito!&nbsp;&nbsp; S&nbsp;<i>Back in the city<i>We've already been in Sydney for one week. We have to wait for Phil until the 6th, but we're loving it here! Its obvious that we are city girls. The&nbsp;arrival was a little hard as we are staying in a hostel full of english and german youngsters, drunk all day and with a weird idea of order and cleanliness. But we are in the best room now with great room mates so everything is perfect.<i>We had a bit of a crisis with our clothes. Everybody is quite glamourous here, and we are getting a little tired with our trekking boots and jumpers, so we had to go shopping and at least buy a t-shirt! simple things can make you sooo happy!<i>&nbsp;<i>We spent a few days with my friend Juanma and Maria, it was fun! it's great to see people from home so far away!<i>&nbsp;<i>We've also spent hours in different agencies trying to organize the rest of our trip in Australia. Its going to be crazy: desert, national park, beach, safari, boat trip, jungle, barrier reef...al in like 30 days! It's looking&nbsp;good!
