Back at the St. Brides Spa Hotel in Saundersfoot.Unfortunately, winter doesn't make this the best place to stay. It's dark when you are at the hotel, so you don't get the views. And the spa doesn't stay open late enough in the winter. At least I will get to enjoy it over the weekend.And the walk along the coast - kind of scary in the dark. But you do get to see a bunch of stars and parts of the Milky Way because there isn't much light pollution out here.

Well - being in Cardiff was good since it is the closest airport, being on a 2-hr drive to the hotel. But had to wait about an hour for the rental car place to open up.At least I got to go through the visitor information brochures and grab a bite at Burger King.

Spent a bunch of time just walking around the parks and the area around the Louvre. Tried to buy some items to add to my collection, but ran into credit card problems. About a week ago my card was compromised, but they ensured me I would be able to continue to use it until the new one arrived. I even called them to authorize a charge, but the French visa people weren't allowing it to go through. Oh well, I guess I'll keep that money for something else.

Well - would you believe the excess baggage fee cost the same amount as my ticket? I knew I would (actually work would) be hit with the charge, but the equivalent cost of another ticket? I guess it was still cheaper than having someone fly from the US by having me divert on my way back from vacation.

Decided to go back and climb Notre Dame again. Was hoping that it would be another sunny day. But the weather didn't break until later in the afternoon. Couldn't even see the top of the Eiffel Tower. But still worth the climb.
