France, France

A year gone by, I visited some major cities of France as a TOURIST and then returned back to my native place Agra, India as a FRENCH. Highly impressed with the nice people in Nice and gone gaga over various sights there. No exaggeration if I say Nice itself is an attraction. From riding Train Touristique to enjoying the beautiful Biblical themed paintings at Musee National, I left no corner unvisited. I smelt pleasantly at Marche aux Fleurs and felt famished to fill my belly to my heart content at a restaurant in Vielle Ville - the old town of Nice, with traces of Italian architecture and cuisine showing. Having passed my 26 years as a complete teetotaler, the white wine in Bordeaux seduced me the way a damsel does to a bachelor. And, I fell prey to this delicious temptation. My hangover got revived after seeing the enchanting beauty of the Eiffel Tower in Paris at night under the silent sky with twinkling stars and a round shaped whitish planet with some black patches called Moon. After spending lively evenings in Paris, I landed up in Aix-en-Provence and got bewitched to discover Provence as treasure of art & culture. The picturesque charm of the surrounding villages and magnificent landscape immortalized by painters such as Cezanne, Picasso and Kandinsky-all captivated me to a great extent.

My adherence to the cliché 'Never Visiting Casino & Bar' got bye-bye soon after my arrival in Monte Carlo. I accommodated myself in a Le Meridien Beach Plaza hotel and showered the tired body with lukewarm water to rejuvenate myself. After an hour stay at the hotel, I steered my rental car to the direction of Salons Européens and became a novice gambler.

My memory about France tourism still lingers either because I don't want to forget.
