Olympia, Washington, United States

After 4 days in Seattle we started heading back to Portland. We made a short stop at Olympia to get dinner and walk around a bit. It seems like a cool little place. I should get back there sometime/

Seattle, Washington, United States

Got to Seattle, checked in at our cheapish (but surprisingly good hotel) and made our way to the Seattle Center. Had a peek at the Space Needle and joined the crowds at the Folklife festival! That was awesome! Thousands and thousands of young people hanging out on the grass and in the waterfall, 4 or 5 music stages with bands playing, numerous small bands/artists playing on every corner of the park, people dancing, others were joggling and some were giving free hugs! There were food carts with all kinds of snacks but there was no alcohol.. Fun fun fun! Too bad it was the last day of the festival! After it got dark we drove to to Alki beach and got some nice shots of the city skyline by dark.

San Francisco, California, United States

day 2 in San Francisco. More walking in the morning in Union Square, Chinatown and around. Then we got the tram to the waterfront, walked around there and made our way up to Coit Tower. Then we went all the way to Alamo square to see the "painted ladies" and walked to Haight/ Ashbury district to walk around, window shop, see all the hippies, punks and runaway kids and have dinner. At evening I went out again to take night photos of the city. Rode the tram again and went back to Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard street, Union Square, Nob Hill and more. I kept getting on/off the trams to find good spots to photograph.
