Tórshavn, Faroe Islands

Cold and raining here, but the scenery is incredible! The hotel is nice, but the internet is slow and they put loads of mayonaise on all the food (gross)! Going to drive all over the islands tomorrow!

London, United Kingdom

Back in London, the sky is clear but there is a strong fall wind in the air. I went to the Globe theatre today, where Shakespere did his thing, (on the site anyways). Saw the Tate modern, the Maple Leaf Pub and the British Museum. I also FINALLY got to ride the London Eye (ferris wheel). Tonight I have one final dinner with friends before heading home to Toronto tomorrow. From there, it's a week or so at home, and then the next leg of my trip begins...off to Vancouver, Seattle, LA, San Diego, Denver, Chicago and Cleveland....see you on the road!

Glasgow, United Kingdom

The city of Glasgow is smaller than I thought it would be. I met up with Paul Robbins and his fiancee Carmen, and we toured the city for a few hours and then went for dinner. A nice place with lots of green trees and thick accents!

Dublin, Ireland

Arrived in Dublin and was picked up by my cousin Graham, whom I will be visiting for a week. Left Paris in 25 degrees, arrived to 8 degrees! Get out the sweaters. Went for lunch with my Aunt and Uncle, and then dinner with my cousins!

Belfast, United Kingdom

OK, so I go to Belfast in order to check out the sights and see how the place is coping since the 'troubles' ended three years ago. My hotel asks me if I want the 'tour' or the 'other tour'. Being adventurous, I elect for the 'other tour' and end up in the car of a guy from the IRA, who takes me all over Belfast and shows me where the bombs were set off, made and stored, and where the 'volunteers' were killed and jailed. We finished in the cemetary where the hunger strikers of 1981 are buried. Fascinating, if one sided, and I have loads of photos of a recent and very real war...

As Homer would say....mmmmm chocolate!!! Brussels is in turmoil, and the entire courtry is considering splitting up! Went to the Grand Place, ate some chocolate, and saw the Belgium stop on the Cannonball Run!

Paris, France

Rugby madness, and french computers have the keys in different places, making for very slow typing...went to Jim Morrison's grave today, and then went and looked at rooms and rooms of paintings at the Musee D'Orsay. Then it was off to the Tour Eiffel, and then dinner in a cafe on the Champs-Elyesees.
